International Opportunities

The UK has always been a global trading nation, and IFB 2014 builds on this tradition, showcasing the UK as a nation open for global business and attracting new foreign direct investment. Fully backed by the Prime Minster and UK government, IFB 2014 aims to open up major export opportunities by creating new trading relationships with businesses and other partners around the world.

To assist us in this all UK and international IFB 2014 delegates are invited to join the free IFB Business Club. As a Business Club member you can gain access to a wide range of high-value services, facilities and business opportunities including the IFB Business Brokerage service.

This free and easy-to-use service allows all IFB 2014 delegates, both UK and international, to post and access commercial opportunities, as well as tell us who you would like to connect with during your time at IFB 2014. Our specialist team will then aim to match your requirements with other delegates and to facilitate meetings for you during the Festival. Many of these meetings will take place at the IFB Hub.

The IFB Hub

As an IFB Business Club member you will have FREE access to the IFB Hub, the nerve centre of IFB 2014 and the focal point for the tens of thousands of national and international visitors who will attend the Festival. At the IFB Hub you will be able to meet a range of businesses, from major multinationals to niche enterprises, across all business sectors from around the world. Something all will have in common is an appetite to make new business contacts and to trade internationally.

The IFB Hub will also offer you access to world-class facilities for meetings, presentations and talks, free Wi-Fi and multi-lingual services. It will also provide an International Export and Trading Floor offering access to trade associations, international promotion agency advisors and a comprehensive range of export, legal and financial advice.

Space will be available for international trade, investment and export companies to hire to showcase their services and dedicated event space with the capacity to host events for up to 200 delegates is also available within the IFB Hub.

IFB International Events

IFB 2014 will feature more than 200 business-focused events of all shapes, sizes and themes, many with an international flavour and featuring internationally renowned guest speakers. There will be a daily programme of free trade and investment events, including 7 country-specific and 9 sector-focused events organised by UKTI to help IFB 2014 delegates understand more about trading within a region, learn about available opportunities and provide access to specialists within each market.

To help concentrate activity, there are geographically themed weeks taking place at the IFB Hub, with events taking place throughout each week of IFB 2014:

16th June-20th June:   Europe Week

23rd June-27th June:   South East Asia Week

30th June-4th July:      China Week

7th July-11th July:       India Week

14th July-18th July:     USA Week
